The City's response to FT article: Anglo-US team to wage cyber war games on City - 16th Jan

Sir,

It is encouraging to see that the US and UK are working together to tackle cyber-crime (‘Anglo-US team to wage cyber war games on City’- 16th Jan), which poses a serious threat to our banking industry and could even trigger the next global financial crisis. The City of London corporation actively engages with the private sector on cyber-crime related issues, with a current focus being the proposed EU legislation covering network and information security. We believe that cooperation and sharing of cyber-attack information between private and public institutions, internationally, is critical to tackling the threat to businesses. Through sharing, organisations can quickly analyse and react to new threats and develop methods to prevent further attacks.
