Tower Bridge lights up to support Brussels terror victims

As a mark of respect to the victims of the Brussels terror attacks the City of London Corporation will light up Tower Bridge tonight in the colours of the Belgian tricolor.

The iconic bridge will be part of a wider campaign launched today to stand in solidarity with the people of Brussels.

Jeffrey Mountevans, the Lord Mayor of the City of London, said:

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Brussels.

"Flags will be flying at half-mast across the City of London at Tower Bridge, Guildhall, The Mansion House, and Old Bailey. London stands shoulder to shoulder with the victims and their families.”

Tower Bridge will be lit up from dusk until midnight.
