“The City has always been a vocal advocate for finding a pragmatic solution to the Northern Ireland protocol. We welcome the steps the Government and the European Union have taken to secure this deal. The Northern Irish economy will benefit from stability and certainty.

“We hope this positive news will allow us to focus on the critical challenges facing our economy, both in the City and across the UK, that for too long have been put on the back burner.

“With this resolution I welcome the chance for UK financial services to once again engage productively with our partners in the EU for the benefit of both our economies.”
