Students celebrate 100% GCSE pass rate at City of London Freemen’s School

The hard work of pupils at City of London Freemen’s School paid off today (23/08) as students gained a 99.7% pass rate in their GCSE results.

100% of students at the independent school in Ashtead Park, Surrey, achieved five 5 or more grades at A*-C (or Grade 4 and above).

City of London Freemen’s School is a co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 7-18 that wants children to learn, to lead and to make a difference.

Headmaster Roland Martin said:

“It is thanks to the hard work and commitment of our students, the dedication and professionalism of our teaching staff and the consistent collaboration of parents that the school is able to celebrate such impressive GCSE results.

“We are delighted that 35% of the 590 papers assessed numerically were awarded the top grade of 9 while the percentage of examinations assessed at 9, 8, and A* overall from this group of students was an impressive 63%.

“This has been another fantastic year at the school and I am hugely grateful to colleagues and students for their hard work and commitment.”
