Students at City of London Academy Islington celebrate 100% A Level pass rate

Hard work and dedication has paid off for students at City of London Academy Islington as they celebrate excellent A Level results today (16/08).

Sixth formers at the Prebend Street school achieved a 100% pass rate, with almost half of all grades awarded at A* to B.

The academy, which opened in September 2008, was recognised as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in 2014.

Clare Verga, Executive Principal at City London Academy Islington, said:

I am delighted for our students. They have achieved excellent A Level results and this is a testament to the diligence and hard work of the students and the outstanding support they were provided by their teachers.

“Many of our students are progressing to higher education and will be the first in their families to do so. I would like to wish them continuing success in their future endeavours.”
