Prem Goyal OBE has been elected as Chairman of Audit and Risk Management Committee

Prem Goyal OBE has been elected as the new Chairman of the City of London Corporation’s Audit and Risk Management Committee.

The Audit and Risk Management Committee oversees the City of London Corporation’s systems of internal control and makes recommendations to the Finance Committee relating to the approval of the Annual Statements of Accounts.

The Committee also oversees audit work undertaken for the City of London Police, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and the Barbican Centre, as well as the corporation’s Risk Management Strategy and anti-fraud and corruption arrangements, to ensure that the City of London Corporation’s risk assurance framework properly reflects the risk environment.

Prem is an Alderman of the City of London and an advisor to the Hinduja Group, a global conglomerate focusing on green finance investments, fintech bank acquisitions, and real estate projects of national importance. He also serves as Chairman of the City of London Chamber.
