Newham Collegiate celebrates 100% A-Level pass rate

Students at Newham Collegiate Sixth Form Centre have once again achieved exceptional A-Level results today (16/08).

Sixth formers at the Barking Road college achieved an impressive 99% A*- C grades and 90% received A*-B grades.

Newham Collegiate is the academic A-Level centre for a group of Newham schools including Cumberland, Kingsford, Lister, Little Ilford, Plashet, Rokeby, Royal Docks, Sarah Bonnell and Stratford School Academy. It also takes students from other secondary schools in the borough and surrounding areas.

Newham Collegiate Principal Mouhssin Ismail said:

“The Newham Collegiate Sixth Form Centre was set up to provide exceptional A-Level education for students in east London so they could compete with the brightest and the best in the country.

“These outstanding results mean our students are now able to study at some of the most prestigious universities in the UK and abroad and I would like to congratulate them on this fantastic achievement.

“I would also like to thank my dedicated and committed staff who work tirelessly throughout the year to support our students realise their potential. Without them the outstanding educational provision we provide would not be possible.”

Newham Collegiate Sixth Form Centre is part of the City of London Academies Trust, which runs the City of London Corporation’s sole sponsored academies.
