Mary Durcan re-elected as Chair of City Corporation’s Health and Wellbeing Board

Members of the City of London Corporation’s Health and Wellbeing Board have re-elected Mary Durcan to chair the body.

The Board is responsible for leading on the City Corporation’s health and wellbeing strategy and ensuring that people who live and work in the City have access to services which will benefit their physical and mental health.

Ms Durcan was a senior manager in the NHS in a large teaching hospital and a Magistrate for 30 years.

Ruby Sayed was elected Deputy Chair.

Chair of the City Corporation’s Health and Wellbeing Board, Mary Durcan, said:

“The health and wellbeing of people who live, work, and visit the Square Mile is our top priority, and being elected as the chair of this board is a great privilege and honour.

“I remain dedicated to ensuring that we continue to meet the expectations of our residents, workers and visitors, providing them with the best access to services which will enhance their health and wellbeing.”
