Have your say on Epping Forest’s Iron Age hill forts

The City of London Corporation wants to know what you think about the two Iron Age hill forts in Epping Forest – Loughton Camp and Ambresbury Banks.

The survey will run from 1 May to 14 June 2015 and be available online at www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/eppingforestconsultations.

You can also call in at one of Epping Forest’s Centres (The View at Rangers Road, Chingford, The Forest Centre at High Beach and The Temple in Wanstead Park) and fill in the survey.

Loughton Camp and Ambresbury Banks are a significant part of Epping Forest’s history as well as being highly valuable habitats for wildlife.

The City of London Corporation is creating management plans for these Iron Age hill forts and would like to gain a better understanding of what the community feels are important about them.

Following analysis of the survey results, a public consultation will take place on proposed Site Management Plans for each of these heritage sites and these will in turn be incorporated into the overarching Epping Forest Management Plan.
