Have your Epping Forest inspired art displayed in Chingford

Local artists who draw inspiration from the ancient woodland Epping Forest are being invited to submit a piece of work for The View’s Summer Art Show.

The View is Epping Forest's award winning visitor centre, which attracts over 50,000 visits a year. 

Application forms are available from the View on Rangers Road. Completed applications need to be returned by hand, along with a good quality A4 print or copy of the work you wish to submit.

A £5 entry fee applies, no 3D work can be submitted and only one piece of work can be accepted from each artist. The Maximum size of work is no bigger than 80cmx80cm or and must not exceed 10kg in weight.

Jacqueline Eggleston, the City of London Corporation’s Head of Visitor Services at Epping Forest, said:

“I’m delighted to be able to give local creatives a platform at this year’s Summer Art Show. Epping Forest has been an artistic inspiration for centuries, so, if you are a local painter, printmaker, illustrator or photographer, come and enter your work.”

The deadline for submissions is Sunday 17 May 2015 and the show will run from 12 July -27 September 2015.

The View is the City of London Corporation’s Forest interpretation centre on Rangers Road, Chingford E4 7QH which is next to the Queen Elizabeth Hunting Lodge. The View is open daily between 10am and 5pm.
