GCSE joy for students at City of London Academy Highgate Hill
Students at City of London Academy Highgate Hill have been celebrating their GCSE results today.
They achieved an overall pass rate of 99%, with the proportion of students achieving the standard pass in English and Maths increasing by nearly 5%.
Standard passes in Maths and English were 72% and 70% respectively.
Some of the highest performing students include Sarwar who achieved five grade 9s and two grade 8s, and Mohammed who achieved two grade 9s and four grade 8s.
City of London Academy Highgate Hill is a member of the City of London Academies Trust, which runs the City of London Corporation’s sponsored academies.
The City Corporation sponsors 10 Academies across Hackney, Newham, Islington, and Southwark.
Principal of City of London Academy Highgate Hill, Prince Gennuh, said:

“They have worked extremely hard; the challenges of the pandemic have continued but our students have shown a huge amount of resilience.
