First Set of AS Results for City Academy Hackney Show Students are on Track

The City Academy Hackney has achieved a pleasing first set of AS results for their year 12 students which show they are on track to achieve excellent final grades in their A levels next year. 35% of grades were at A or B and the overall pass rate was 94%.

The Principal Mark Emmerson spoke to students at the results assembly congratulating them on what he said was a very good start. He then went on to say that students were only half way through their courses and would need to maintain and improve grades to secure places at the best universities.

“No doubt a number of you will secure Oxbridge offers and the vast majority will be wanting to go to Russell Group or other prestigious Universities The City Academy staff and sponsors will be working with you to help you achieve those ambitions …every step of the way. “ He said
