In response to the London terror attacks, Catherine McGuinness, Policy Chairman at the City of London Corporation, said:

"After the horrific attack at London Bridge and Borough Market last night our sympathy and thoughts go out to the victims and their families.

“We also pay tribute to the emergency services, including the City of London Police, who reacted with such speed and bravery.

“We are in close contact with the government and colleagues from the Metropolitan Police.

“As the investigation into the attack continues I am confident the City of London will go about our business in a calm and vigilant way.

“We will work to ensure London remains one of the safest cities in the world for residents, workers, businesses and visitors."
