City of London Academy Shoreditch Park students celebrate GCSE results
Students at City of London Academy Shoreditch Park are celebrating their GCSE results today.
They achieved an 84% pass rate in English, 80% in Maths, and a 77% combined pass rate in both subjects, approximately 15% above the expected national average.
Some of the highest achieving students include:
Caius Valentine- seven grade 9s, two 8s
Caleb Hunter- six 9s, three 8s
Alfred Lovell- five 9s, three 8s
Samuel Williamson- six 9s, two 8s
Afrida Wakeel- seven 9s, one 8
Abigail Odilinye- four 9s, three 8s, three 7s
Eva Stevenson- one 9, seven 8s
City of London Academy Shoreditch Park is a member of the City of London Academies Trust, which runs the City of London Corporation’s sponsored academies.
The City Corporation sponsors 10 Academies across Hackney, Newham, Islington, and Southwark.
City of London Academy Shoreditch Park headteacher, Holly Arles, said:
"Our students have worked very hard to achieve these results.
“We know that sitting exams and preparing for them requires a huge amount of commitment. Today’s results are also a reflection of the dedication our teachers put in day in, day out.
“We wish all our students the very best of luck in their next steps.”

City of London Academy Shoreditch Park celebrated the official opening of a new permanent school building in November 2021.
The site on Hyde Road features a sixth form centre, state-of-the-art science laboratories, music and theatre facilities, and a sports pitch on its roof.
