GCSE joy for students at City of London Academy Highgate Hill

 

Students at City of London Academy Highgate Hill have been celebrating their GCSE results today.

They achieved an overall pass rate of 97%, with the proportion of students achieving the standard pass in English and maths increasing by nearly 5%. Standard passes in English and maths were 77% and 65% respectively. 

Some of the highest performing students include:

Younus Abib (10 A*/A), Alfonso Ortiz (10 A*/A), Cori-Ann Goulbourne (9 A*/A), Sophie Igbinoke - Joseph (9 A*/A), Adam Dreyer (9 A*/A).

City of London Academy Highgate Hill is part of the City of London Academies Trust, which runs the City of London Corporation’s sponsored academies. 

The City of London Corporation sponsors 10 Academies across Hackney, Newham, Islington, and Southwark.

Principal of City of London Academy Highgate Hill, Prince Gennuh, said:

 “We are delighted with the results achieved by our students.

“This is an exciting day for all of us here at the school and today we celebrate our young people and staff who have worked so hard.

“Our students deserve the success, and we wish them the very best for the future.”

Chair of the City of London Academies Trust Board, Catherine McGuinness, said:
