City Corporation staff recognised in King’s Birthday Honours
Congratulations to current and former staff from the City Corporation who were recognised in the first Birthday Honours List of His Majesty King Charles III.
Assistant Remembrancer Fiona Hoban was awarded an MBE for services to the City of London and to the State Funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, while Strategic Security Director and Counter Terrorism Adviser Richard Woolford also received an MBE for services to the State Funeral.
Kathryn McDowell, Managing Director of the London Symphony Orchestra, the Barbican’s resident orchestra, received a Damehood for her contribution to music.
Meanwhile, former City of London Cemetery and Crematorium Superintendent and Registrar Gary Burks received the British Empire Medal for services to the bereaved and to the community in East London.
