Policy Chairman of the City of London Corporation, Chris Hayward, said: 

“The signing of the MoU sets the stage for a new era of cooperation with our EU partners. This resolution will support UK financial services to once again engage productively with the EU for the benefit of both our economies.

“The City Corporation has been working hard to foster cooperation, including through my positive meeting last month with the European Commissioner for Financial Services, Mairead McGuinness, and through hosting EU Ambassadors and business leaders through the International Business and Diplomatic Exchange. 

“We hope this agreement will help ensure both our financial services sectors remain open for business.”
