Discount World Para Athletics Championships tickets available for City residents

Over 7,500 City of London Corporation residents across seven London Boroughs will have the chance to apply for special discount tickets for one of the capital’s biggest events of the year.

The IPC World Para Athletics Championships, which run from 14-23 July, will take place at the iconic London Stadium. The Greater London Authority, Headed by Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, secured the discount offer for residents of all London local authorities.

A family of four will be able to attend for under £25 with all tickets discounted to £9 per adult (over 16) and £3 per child (16 and under) through the offer.

Dhruv Patel, Chairman of the City of London Corporation’s Community and Children’s Services Committee said:

“This is a great opportunity for our residents to be part of one of the biggest events of the year. In 2012, the City stood with the rest of London, welcoming the world to the Olympic and Paralympic Games and we look forward to another summer of fun and enjoyment for all the family.”

Residents will be able to buy up to nine tickets through the ticketing website for the World Para Championships. Visit london2017athletics.com/tickets using the discount code LON2017.

The City of London Corporation provides housing for Londoners across seven of the capital’s boroughs and it is building another 3,700 homes across London by 2025.
